Driving Skills Evaluation

- $425 for 6 hours of supervised practice driving
- Eligible for the PA Driver's Exam (administered by one of our certified instrctors in the 6th hour of training)
- You must register for this 6-hour service in order to be eligible to have the driving test administered by one of our instructors.
- Gettysburg High School Students, who have completed, or are enrolled in the Driver Education classroom course, are eligible to take their PA Driver’s License Examination on the PennDOT approved Gettysburg or Fairfield High School Driver Exam course. The exam cannot be administered until the 6th hour of training.
- Eligible students must have 6 instructional hours to meet qualifications for auto insurance discounts and be eligible to receive a Senior license, as early as 17 ½. Upon successful completion of 6 hours, a Certificate of Completion will be provided, showing eligibility for these benefits.
- Students may receive a discounted car insurance rate upon completion of this program in conjunction with the school's Safety and Driver Education class (contact your insurance company for more information).
- Training includes: steering, braking, backing, parallel parking, in-town driving, highway driving, country driving, evasive actions, railroad crossings, school bus safety.
- For six hour behind-the-wheel sessions for current GHS/FHS students, payment of $150 is due at the first two sessions with the $125 balance due by the final session
PA Driving Exam Test Preparation

2 total hours of supervised practice driving, which consists of:
• Parallel Parking Instruction
• Review of Gettysburg PennDOT driving course - $75/hour cost = $150 total (or $425 for 6-hour package).
- NOTE: Only the 6-hour package includes a certificate of completion for insurance company.
- You may choose to schedule to use one of our cars & licensed instructors for your DMV test for an additional fee of $100 (in addition to the hourly rate)
Gettysburg College Students
- $150 for 2 hours or $425 for 6-hour lesson package ($65/hour for hours beyond the 6-hour package)
- Use of the car and a licensed instructor for the DMV test is available for an an extra charge of $100 (in addition to the hourly rate)
- Pickup available upon request (lot across from campus security)

Driving Skills Evaluation
- 2-hour session including: supervised, practice driving with skills evaluation
- $75/hour cost = $150 total
- NOTE: This service does not include a certificate of completion for an insurance discount.
NOTE: A $30 cancelation fee will be charged for any appointments canceled without a 24-hour notice from the student.
The following forms can be found, downloaded, and/or printed below by following the links below:
- DL-180 = Initial Non-Commercial Learner’s Permit Application. This is to get your learner's permit (NOTE: will also need DL-180TD if under 18). Please be advised that this form requires a physician's signature on the back!
- DL-180TD = Parent or Guardian Consent Form. (needed in conjunction with DL-180 for applicants under 18 years of age). This is needed in addition to the DL-180 to obtain a learner's permit if the individual is 16 or 17 years old.
- DL-180C = Parent or Guardian Certification of Driving Experience. This is needed before taking the LICENSE EXAM at the DMV
